Westmead Automotive is the new name for a new company combining the forces of C.B.A. Car Care and Up2Scratch under a single brand. As independant companies C.B.A Car Care and Up2Scratch established a reputation for excellent customer service combined with quality workmanship and reasonable prices. Westmead Automotive will continue to build on this reputation while increasing the range of services offered.

C.B.A. Car Care was founded in 2002 by Simon Edney with funding from the Princes Trust. The business was originally purely mobile, but now offers mobile and full workshop facilities. C.B.A. Car Care’s philosophy is to provide honest friendly advice and the best customer care and service possible.

On leaving School Simon started an apprenticeship with Ford’s where he learnt his trade as a mechanic and electrician. He was heavily involved with car alarms, mobile phone kits and car audio products.

Simon has worked in many roles within the Motor trade including a mechanic for Rover, a Foreman and Quality Controller for Vauxhall, and as an Assistant Manager for ATS.

Disillusioned with the way the Motor trade treated it’s customers, Simon decided that he wanted to start his own business offering a wide range of car care services and top class customer service. In addition to a comprehensive range of car care services, Simon specialises in designing and installing bespoke car audio systems, in fact he has received awards in national competitions for his work in this area.
